Film 4 / Two Days One Night

A sneaky preview of my 2 colour screen print for the Film4 Summer Screen at Somerset House exhibition opening on 30 July. It is for Two Days One Night, one of the bleaker moments of contemporary French cinema...

Girl Effect Live 2014

I was commissioned by The Sunshine Company to produce an illustration for the Girl Effect Live event created by the Nike Foundation, to be used across 7 steps on a staircase at the event in London on 20 July 2014.

The Girl Effect is a movement. It's about leveraging the unique potential of adolescent girls to end poverty for themselves, their families, their communities, their countries and the world. It's about making girls visible and changing their social and economic dynamics by providing them with specific, powerful and relevant resources.

Created by the Nike Foundation in collaboration with the NoVo Foundation, United Nations Foundation and Coalition for Adolescent Girls, the girl effect is fuelled by hundreds of thousands of girl champions who recognise the untapped potential of adolescent girls living in poverty.

Illustrations for Texas Monthly

I was commissioned to do a very quick turnaround on 3 illustrations for Texas Monthly Magazine. One day for roughs, one day for final artwork; they illustrate a feature about Texan cuisine. Lobster tacos, big 1980's signature sauce zig-zags & food-prep scenes all imagined from above. I'm hungry!

Summer Adventures

In a week or so I'm setting off on a new adventure through Europe with Steve; all we have is ourselves, our tent & our feet. No plan, no reservations, no expectations. No aeroplanes. Tiny 'reduced' carbon footprint* & giant hills to hike up. These are some pictures from previous trips, taken in Corsica, Switzerland & Belgium...

*OK so we did end up hiring a tiny car in Sardinia for 5 days.

Somerset House 2014 Summer Screen Prints with Film4

I am delighted to announce that once again I will be taking part in the Summer Screen Prints exhibition as part of Film 4's outdoor cinema 'Summer Screen' at Somerset House in London, curated by Print Club London.

I have produced a poster for this year's premier movie, which was launched at Cannes in May, Deux Jours Une Nuit, directed by Jean-Pierre Dardenne & Luc Dardenne, starring Marion Cotillard of Inception fame...

As a dedicated follower of my blog, you are invited to the Launch Night at Somerset House on 30 July 2014. You can confirm your invitation by emailing Numbers are limited so please only RSVP if you know you're able to attend. Unfortunately I can't be there, but last year's party was lots of fun, there will be free Jamesons cocktails for all, and a great way to kick off the outdoor summer film season!

How Beautiful It Is at Kemistry Gallery

I produced this 50x70cm print inspired by handpainted Brazilian signage & beer-related ephemera, which is now being shown at the How Beautiful It Is exhibition at Kemistry Gallery, London alongside a host of other fantastic artists. It is available in two colour-ways, the way we see the game on the pitch. It is available to buy direct from the gallery.

This coming July, The Soho Warriors presents its debut show at Kemistry Gallery during the 2014 World Cup. The show celebrates football in Brazil, its people, fans and wealth of history and culture.

Working with world-renowned photographer Grant Fleming, the show will document Brazilian culture, people, fans, cities and football from the past 20 years. Alongside this will be work from some of the best international graphic artists.

We will also be showing live games including the QF, SF and Final. The SWFC will also host evening events, documentaries and films screenings. Email in order to get on the advanced mailing list.
