Last week, I saw Cave of Forgotten Dreams by Werner Herzog in 3D; a dreamscape story of the Chauvet cave, discovered in 1994 in Southern France by explorers looking for air vents in the rock. My favourite moment, an aging perfumer (presumably someone straight from Patrick Süskind's imagination...) is found lurking alongside a mossy embankment on the hillside, and explains he is using his specialist skills to discover new caves, but that right now, he can only smell the grass and trees. We wait with trepidation with each breath.

I've just been exploring my bookshelves for some images to go with it, and this is what I found.
